Community Habilitation Services are primarily habilitative services provided in the community (i.e. non-certified settings) to facilitate community inclusion, integration, and relationship building for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Therefore, as a goal-driven service, Community Habilitation seeks to encourage community involvement by building skills necessary to sustain the individual’s living conditions. This includes assistance in developing independent living, recreation, socialization, and other life skills necessary to keep them going in life.
